List what goes in, how it is packed and how frequently it moves. Allow an aisle, safe handling space and a clear door area. Check the opening against pallet dimensions and handling equipment; do not assume equipment can safely enter or load a container.
Match the environment to the goods
A standard container is not climate-controlled. Temperature changes and condensation can affect stock. Discuss any temperature, humidity, hygiene or hazardous-goods requirements before deciding whether a standard container suits the job.
Check business-site access
Tell us about loading zones, site induction, delivery windows, height restrictions and shared driveways. The transport team needs to assess the approach and unloading area. Confirm any landlord or council requirements for placement and use.
Hire for a season or buy for the long run
Compare the expected duration, hire terms, collection and delivery with a purchase quote. If demand changes through the year, explain the timing when enquiring so the options can be checked against availability.
