Size, construction, condition and availability all affect the container component of a quote. A smaller unit does not automatically cost less than a more commonly available size. Compare suitable options for your actual job.
Delivery is part of the decision
Ask for the container, its condition, delivery charge and GST treatment in writing. Size, condition, availability, distance and the delivery vehicle affect the total. Let us know your suburb and preferred timing so the quote reflects your job.
A straightforward commercial-yard delivery and a restricted residential site may need different arrangements. Supply your suburb and access details so the quote can account for them.
Compare like for like
Check whether each quote describes the same size, grade and accessories. Ask which unit the photos show, what delivery includes, the GST treatment, quote validity and payment terms. Do not compare an as-is unit with a cargo-worthy unit as though their condition were identical.
If you are hiring
Include the expected hire period, minimum term, delivery and collection, notice requirements and any other fees. Consider what happens if your project takes longer. Compare that total with buying when the storage need may continue.
