Confirm what is coming
Check the size, condition, included accessories and photos of the actual unit. Confirm any dimensions your plans rely on. Make sure the written quote and agreed delivery arrangements describe the same job.
Recheck access
Review the approach and placement area with the transport team. Let them know about rain, new fencing, site works, parked vehicles or anything else that has changed. Confirm the site contact and any booking requirements.
Get the position ready
Check any council, property-owner or site requirements for the address and intended use. Storage and a converted building can be treated differently. Ground preparation, supports and anchoring depend on the site and need appropriately qualified advice.
Keep the agreed working area clear. Arrange any site preparation before the truck arrives, and confirm the direction the doors should face.
Inspect safely on arrival
Follow the driver’s directions and stay clear during unloading. Once safe to inspect, compare the unit with what was agreed, check doors and visible condition, and photograph any concerns. Raise problems promptly with the supplier.
