Work out the layout
Measure your biggest equipment and compare it with the door opening. Allow room to handle items safely and to reach tools at the back. Heavy equipment, shelves and concentrated loads need suitable planning; nominal container capacity alone is not enough.
Make security part of the plan
Ask about the doors, locking points and a compatible lock box. Choose suitable locks and think about lighting, visibility and site access. No lock or container makes stored equipment theft-proof; check your insurance requirements.
Keep unsuitable contents out
Do not assume an ordinary container is suitable for fuels, chemicals or battery charging. Discuss the goods and activities with a competent adviser. Specialist storage may be required.
Check the position
Plan door access, drainage and the delivery route. If you intend to add electrical equipment or modify the structure, get appropriately qualified advice first. Tell us what you need to store and where it is going.
